iPhone 3G, 3GS or 4?

To upgrade from iPhone 3G to iPhone 4, that is the question!

So the question is, should I upgrade my iPhone 3G to the newest version which is now the iPhone 4? I'm going to point out both the Pro's and Con's for this decision and you are going to read my thought process and I'll read your replies to help me make my final decision.

I have already upgraded the firmware from 3.? to 4.01 and everything in between however, I don't have access to the Multi-Task feature added to the iOS4 which was not a big deal since it wasn't an issue for me before. What was though was the addition of folders. After my original iPhone was out of warranty, I decided that now was a good time to jailbreak my iPhone and I did. I then decided that I like have the ability to create folders on my iPhone and group my programs accordingly (nice).

Then I got the iPhone 3G and I missed having my folders, however the 3G again was under warranty and I was not going to risk anything going wrong until it was out of warranty again so I dealt with the inconvenience of not having folders to make my life easier. You see, I'm the type of person who likes to find and see what the limitations of the firmware and/or the iPhone itself are and I figured out a workaround for the folder issue without jailbreaking it and it worked for me just fine for me. At last count, I had 324 programs available for use on my iPhone 3G, that's another story though.

Then the iPhone 3GS came out and I couldn't afford one because I would have to start another 2 year contract with AT&T again and I DO NOT like contracts. You see I've learned from Dave Ramsey that contracts are the way to stay poor, so I lived with my 3G for awhile longer.

Then the iPhone iOS4 was coming out for the 3G, 3GS & it would be installed on the iPhone 4 in about a week from the iOS4 release. So I upgraded the firmware and I liked it because I had the ability to create folders again and to group my apps accordingly. It used a different method of doing so than the jailbroken firmware but it achieved the same result, which was all I was hopeing for.

Now it was mentioned that Apple & AT&T would sell the iPhone 4 outright for about $700 (ouch), and that is what I would have to pay if I didn't want a contract again so I decided to upgrade my iPhone to the 3GS version until I could save the money for the iPhone 4. Now this isn't a problem for me since there's not to many people I know that have and are using an iPhone 4 so that I could take advantage of the front facing camera and I still didn't need Multi-Tasking yet. The Retina display would be nice and so would the auto focus and the better camera with flash, but again those are just features to me and not a benefit yet so I could live without the iPhone 4 for now.

Back to the previous model which was the iPhone 3GS. It comes with a better camera than the 3G and it has an auto focus fea...
